John “Jack” Feira (fare-ah) of Green Bay, WI, became a Bishop’s Ambassador to the Diocese of Marquette this past summer when he completed legal paperwork to designate assets, upon his passing, to the Upper Peninsula Catholic Foundation.
Jack was born and raised in Hancock, MI. He attended Northern Michigan University, joined the Army, and had a long career as a schoolteacher. As a lifelong Catholic, Jack is definitely a friend of Jesus! His most recent actions give witness to his profound gratitude for the gift of life, the blessing of faith and acknowledgment that all he is and has, is a gift from God.
Jack was searching for a way to help the Church continue its mission, especially in the rural and remote areas of his childhood, which is dotted with many small parishes and missions where Mass-goers often have to drive many miles to get to Church. He wanted his gifts to benefit current areas of need and he wanted to know the money would be accounted for and would be well used.
Jack eventually settled on an endowment gift for the Upper Peninsula Catholic Foundation, Inc.—a forever gift that will make his charitable dream a reality. His estate plan passes on his beloved Catholic faith to another generation.
Additionally, when the gift is received, provisions have been made for a picnic (or picnics) to be hosted by the local parishes. People will be invited to gather in faith, enjoy fellowship and learn about their new endowments.

God Bless You, Jack!
